Adding a painting to your gallery allows you to create an immersive experience where users can explore and learn more about your artwork. Discover all the ways and options to showcase, explain, and make your paintings interactive.
Accessing the Hotspot Feature
From the main menu, click on “My Art Gallery” (1).
Click on “Hotspot” (2) in the left menu.
Select the gallery (3) where you want to add a new Hotspot. The default view will display the first room in 360°.
Navigate the room by clicking and moving the mouse to select an area where you want to add the Hotspot.
To change the room, click on the preview image at the bottom section.
Click on the green “+” icon (4) in the top-right corner.
Creating a Hotspot for Your Painting
Select “Painting (or other image)” under the “Style” section. This will allow you to add your painting to the environment.
Choose what will be displayed when users click on your painting under the “Content” tab.
Available Content Options
(1) None: Display only the painting without additional content.
(2) Image (single): Show a zoomed-in image of the painting. You can also add a title, description, and adjust the display mode, size, and position.
(3) Image (gallery): Display multiple images as a carousel, such as different perspectives or painting details.
(4) Audio: Upload an audio file to narrate the story behind the artwork.
(5) Link: Redirect users to an external webpage.
(6) Text: Show a brief description of the artwork when clicked.
(7) HTML: Add a more detailed description, including text, images, links, etc.
(8) PDF: Upload and display a PDF file.
(9) Object 3D (GLB/GLTF): Add a 3D painting for viewing from different angles and in augmented reality via a smartphone.
For this example, we will select “Image (single)” to display the enlarged painting and later add a frame.
Image Size and Placement Considerations
Small images: 100×300 pixels.
Larger images: 600×700 pixels or 1600 pixels for high detail.
File size: Keep within 1-2 MB to optimize gallery performance.
Standard artwork dimensions: 120 cm x 90 cm (48 x 36 inches). You can use larger images to cover existing frames if necessary.
Positioning and Saving the Painting
The “Move” window will open, allowing you to position the painting.
Once positioned, click “Save”.
Configuring the Hotspot Settings
A window with five tabs will open: Settings, Content, Style, Tooltip, Schedule.
In the “Style” tab, click “Browse”, upload your painting, and click “Save”.
Adding a Frame to the Painting
Repeat the same process to create another hotspot for the frame, making the transparent frame slightly larger than the painting.
Click “Save”.
Go to “Media Library” under “Media” in the main menu to upload and manage your frames.
Select and save the frame to apply it to your painting.
Adjusting the Frame Layer
Return to “Hotspot” in the main menu.
Click on your painting, choose “Move”, and set the “Z Order” option to a higher value (example, 10) than the frame.
This ensures the painting appears above or below other elements as needed.
Once done click “Save” to apply all changes.
Your painting is now successfully added to the gallery with an interactive hotspot!
